The quick answer is: no you do not! The Drafting of Wills is a non regulated activity. So, technically, anyone can draft a will for another person. The real question should be: What provisions do I have in place to provide you with a bespoke, honest and robust service, and give you complete confidence that I am the man up to the task? Firstly, I do have a special Professional Will Writing and Estate Planning Insurance (Indemnity Insurance of upto £2.5M  and Public Liability Insurance of £5M) to protect you the client from poor advice. As a Full member of the Society of WIll Writers and Estate Planning Practitioners, My work and professional standards are scrutinized and a high level of service and due care is required from me, as a Full member I am also highly trained and am required to provide evidence of continuous professional development in my profession (Wills and Estate Planning) of at least 20 plus hours per year.   Finally, where any legally regulated activities are required, I work with a team of highly trained and specialist legal experts, who are part of the Society of Will Writers Trust Corporation. Suffice to say, you are in very good and capable hands.

I like to provide a very high level of service for all of my clients including giving the appropriate advice. The Standard fee for a standard will for an individual is £247 and for a Mirror Will £299. However, these are based on a standard Will. Every case is unique an individual (and/or Mirror Will)  there may be a requirement that the cost of producing a valid and robust will may vary or increase. If this is the case, you will be made aware if there will be a change to the Standard Fee and also a valid reason/ justification as to  why,
